Kunye Chenin Blanc + Kunye Syrah

Wines that make a difference.

The Kunye wines are perfect for  summer sipping – easy drinking, yet with complexity and interest. They’re every day wines that you can enjoy with a week day meal, or the weekend braai.

But more importantly, all the profits from these wines go directly towards the scholarship fund that enables previously disadvantaged people to further their wine studies.

Kunye Chenin Blanc 2020 | R145 – R175 in SA | £12 in UK

A Chenin that is textured, apple-skin and guava, slightly tropical yet buttressed with a fresh, ripe acidity. Cassidy Dart MW

A pretty nose of stone fruits, lemon and tropical fruits that continues to please with it’s salinity and delicious acidity. Cape of Good Wine

The Kunye wines can be purchased from Darling Wine Shop and Wine.co.za in South Africa. And from Marlo Wine in the UK.

Kunye Syrah 2019 | R145 – R175 in SA | £12 in UK

A fragrant, peppery, fynbos infused, medium bodied Syrah. Cassidy Dart MW

Notes of lilies, red fruits and spices on the nose lead to a restrained and smooth Syrah with gentle tannins and a refreshing acidity that I’d happily enjoy (and have happily enjoyed) everyday. Cape of Good Wine

The Kunye wines can be purchased from Darling Wine Shop and Wine.co.za in South Africa. And from Marlo Wine in the UK.

The scholarship fund is a big part of our mission. All the profits from Kunye wines go directly towards the scholarship fund.

Rather than access funding that is better served helping farms and farm workers survive this pandemic and the uncertainty of South African lockdown regulations, we decided to support one of the farms by purchasing some of their wine.

We winelovers haven’t stopped buying wine. Kunye offers you a chance to pick up a few delicious Swartland wines, whilst helping someone who’s less fortunate further their wine education and career in the wine industry.

The Kunye wines are available to purchase from the darlings at Darling Wine Shop and the lovelies at Wine.co.za in South Africa – they have the safe and secure infrastructure to process your payment and deliver your wines nationwide. The Kunye wines are now available in the UK from Marlo Wines.
We plan on releasing a limited number of wines once a year as a sustainable, and proactive way of raising funds for the wine education scholarship. So please do join our club…this way you’ll be the first to know about our new releases. You’ll also get access to our introductory wine eBook available in English and Xhosa.
